Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 13 May 2026

Our commitment

We want wagewisepayroll.co.uk to be welcoming, usable and accessible to as many people as possible. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA as our standard of accessibility. (We have currently been working against WCAG 2.1 but are updating to 2.2 where feasible.)

How we're doing

We have made many improvements, including (but not limited to):

  • Ensuring text contrast meets AA standards
  • Enabling full keyboard navigation for menus and forms
  • Using semantic HTML (headings, ARIA roles, labels)
  • Providing alt text for meaningful images
  • Ensuring focus is visible and logical
  • Testing pages using automated tools and manual checks

However, we recognise some parts still may not fully comply. For example:

  • Some third-party plug-ins or embedded content may not fully support all accessibility features
  • Older documents or pages may not yet be fully optimised
  • New content or features might have unintended accessibility gaps

We are actively working to fix these issues. We maintain an internal schedule of audits and updates.

Feedback & contact

If you notice any accessibility issue, please let us know. You can contact us via our contact page.

When contacting us, please include:

  • The webpage or feature you were using
  • The issue you encountered
  • Which browser, device or assistive technology you were using (if known)

We aim to respond within 10 working days.

Alternative formats

If you need content in a different format (e.g. large print, audio, braille), please let us know and we will make reasonable efforts to provide it in a timely manner.

Improvement process

We regularly review and monitor the website's accessibility. New updates, pages or functionality will be tested for accessibility before deployment. We use both automated and manual audits, as well as user feedback, to guide improvements.

Enforcement & escalation

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may raise the issue with:

  • The Equality Advisory & Support Service (EASS)
  • Or via the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC)

Disclaimer

Whilst we strive for full accessibility, there may be limitations. Where full compliance is not immediately possible, we commit to making reasonable adjustments over time.
